Orcas Island Rotary Pickleball Tournament

Hosted by Orcas Rotary Club and the (new) Orcas Island Pickleball Club

Buck Park, Mt. Baker Road, Eastsound

The Orcas Island Pickleball Tournament is celebrating its 6th year in 2023 with a full two-day event and the use of additional courts at Buck Park to accommodate the swell of participation. Local players look forward to this event each summer, players from Friday Harbor and Lopez clubs train to “beat Orcas” just like our high school teams hope to do - and players from areas around the Salish Sea such as Mt. Vernon, Bellingham, Camano Island, Whidbey Island and Seattle plan a long weekend to participate in the tournament. We expect 100 players this year and as many as 15 teams.

Skill levels: 1 - Beginner/Recreational   2 - Intermediate/Advanced - $50 per person / $20 second entry/event. See entry form below. 

The tournament is traditionally hosted by the Rotary Club of Orcas Island (a satellite of the San Juan Island club). Rotary Club will distribute proceeds to local charities. Last year, the tournament raised $5,600 to support the Family Resource Center and scholarships for education in the trades through the San Juan County Economic Development Council. In 2023, the newly formed Orcas Island Pickleball Club will co-host the tournament and provide technical assistance to manage the growing event.
